We announce the publication of the booklet Santa Barbara Celebrations from the Past to the Present, now available in the “Projects” section of our website.
This publication, created in collaboration with our Federation’s partners, is dedicated to Santa Barbara, the patron saint of miners. It explores the traditions, rituals, and cultural practices that have evolved around her figure, shedding light on how these have been preserved and celebrated over time.
The booklet provides a detailed overview of both historical and contemporary celebrations in the various mining regions represented by our Federation. It illustrates how the veneration of Santa Barbara has not only endured but continues to play a meaningful role in the cultural identity of these communities.
